Young People
We offer young people the opportunity to take part in all aspects of theatre including performing, writing, and gaining technical backstage experience.
Hertfordshire County Youth Theatre produces two full scale productions every year, providing opportunities to young people aged between 13 and 18 who attend a Herts County Council School to come and make a play here at the Palace, either as performers or as part of the Young Production Team.
The Palace Youth Theatre is open to all young people aged between 7 and 18, regardless of ability, and runs on Saturdays throughout term time. Each six-week project is led by theatre professionals and explores a different aspect of theatre making.
We also offer week long Work Experience opportunites for one GCSE or A level student each month, and each student works in a number of departments during their time with us.
